It's not you, it's your job

Has it ever occurred to you that the burnout, overwhelm and lack of resilience you may feel is not actually you?? That it could be your job?

In many cases organisations are virtually “victim blaming” their employees for not being more resilient.

“We did the lunchtime Wellness Wednesday’s and yoga classes, not to mention all the training we have thrown at you!!”

Many experiencing burnout not only deal with low energy and motivation but also carry unnecessary guilt, blaming themselves for their stress.

But Burnout isn't solely an individual issue; it's organisational. It arises from a mismatch between what employees need for well-being and what the organisation provides. Factors like inadequate resources and lack of control trigger burnout.

So enough with the fruit boxes already.? It’s time for manager and leaders to dig deep around workload and capacity.
