It's a wrap!

? Happy Gregorian New Year! ?

As this calendar year comes to a close, I want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible journey we’ve shared this year. I’m looking forward to the opportunities this new year will bring us!

?

As a freelancer & creative studio owner, it's been a wild time. I ran the numbers, quantified the unquantifiable, and would like to share the results with you.

***I preface this by saying I do not measure my success by the income I make, and more by the impact my work has on my immediate community and the communities my clients contribute to. This is a fulfillment game much more than it is a numbers game, but yes, there is always room for improvement.

In 2024, I created a total:

13 websites

16 logos

4 brand strategy projects

89 illustrations

Some of these projects were Jegayo clients, others, through Bright, the digital agency I freelance for. Each one came with their set of challenges and lessons.?

My net income after business expenses & inner city rent: $16,219.22

I took, at best, 7 days off this year.?

Jegayo as a holistic branding & design studio started in 2022. Without a doubt, I love this work, and have much gratitude for the immense amount of trust and resources that have been placed in my hands. I’ve mostly relied on word of mouth marketing, serving my immediate physical community, friends, family, and a few international folk.

It’s been a hustle and grind for a very long time, with many late nights, skipped meals, and dancing way too close to the edge of burnout.

?

? There are a few things I would like to do differently this year:

1. I want to move towards directions that nurture and respect my energy levels. (I went to the spa yesterday for the first time in years. What a relief. I want more ??♀?)
2. Stress addiction is a sneaky beast. I will take better care of my mind and body by being more consistent with my meditation practices and having better boundaries with technology. Screen time is not rest time!
3. Shift my business model away from purely custom work towards more educational content through unique workbooks and courses, and some physical goods ?
4. Talk to more people, engage physical community, and experiment with different forms of marketing.

? Here is what I’ve come to embody in 2024…

The most powerful brands aren't built on pure visuals.

They are woven from stories that bridge communities, causes, and commerce.

Branding is a journey of translation, from the dreamtime language of the inner world into the language of connection of the outer world.?

The art of solidifying community around a project requires skill, vision, and a level of passion few are willing to give themselves to.

Your immediate physical environment is a reflection of your internal one. Every day, I consider how material possessions impact my behavior & overall energy levels, and do my best to keep an orderly, clean, and healthy living space.

Auditing is a vital skill that provides a third-person perspective on your life, behavior, and resource-management. From there, I can make informed decisions that positively impact my trajectory and growth.

We must make time to consider the core reasons that fuel the paths we choose before Life forces us to (this is rarely a pleasant experience).

There is always a choice in where and how you grow. Being clear on what you are willing (and not willing) to surrender in the process will become the guideposts for your transformation.

?? I encourage you to try this exercise! Reflect on your year. What kind of work did you commit to? What lessons did you learn? What can you quantify, how do those numbers feel, and what would you improve?

• Human Design 2025 Transit Report: The event will kick off with an introduction to the 2025 transits. Kaisie Dailey will guide you through the year analysis, weaving the 2025 New Year energetic imprints into a story that will reveal the themes of the new experiential cycle. She will also tie the 2025 story to the bigger mutation that is happening in 2027, revealing the purpose of this critical point in time. Kristin Shorter will also take us through key dates in 2025 to help us prepare and plan. You’ll receive a printout of these energies to take notes as needed. ?
• Orient Your Design: After diving into the 2025 transits, I will guide you to reflect on your future self, so you can anchor your values and discover how they will shape your personal brand this year. I will help you create a personal framework that fosters trust—both in yourself and the communities you serve—so you can navigate evolutionary pressures with clarity and remain true to who you are. You’ll receive the proprietary workbook that I give to my branding clients so you can continue to work on this process at home. ?
• Embody Your Design: Next, Aryana will lead you through an experiential embodiment practice to confirm your discoveries and connect with your inner wisdom. You’ll discover a single word that represents you for the year, create a physical object to symbolize it and place it on your altar as a reminder of your true self. These somatic practices will be tools you can carry with you throughout the year. ?
• Resolutions With Your Design: After reaching these confirmations, Kristin Shorter’s session will make you rethink traditional resolutions. She will show you a practical yet mystical approach to goal setting and will help you identify achievable, intuitive goals that are aligned with your inner authority. You feel a newfound confidence in how you’ll move forward this year. You’ll receive worksheets to help you think through these goals and continuously work on them when you get home. ?
• Express Your Design: The event culminates with Nadine’s ecstatic dance, where the room will be transformed into a space of pure expression. Her curated playlist will take you through the energetic layers of your aura, integrating everything you’ve learned and helping you release expectations for the year ahead. This hour of movement will allow you to connect deeply to your body and Spirit, entering pure ecstatic aliveness.
