It's a wrap: Data & Analytics in Healthcare ASEAN Online 2022!
It is my pleasure to announce that the inaugural Data & Analytics in Healthcare ASEAN Online 2022 has successfully wrapped up on Tuesday! The day was certainly action-packed, with a lot of great insights from leaders and thinkers in the healthcare space, thoughtful questions and comments from the audience and speakers, and an all-around amazing time meeting and networking with people from across Southeast Asia!
Data & Analytics in Healthcare ASEAN Online 2022 had three key themes that focused on the challenges and undertakings that a lot of organisations are tackling:
Innovation and Data-Driven Success: This theme looks at how innovative data management can drive success.
Decision-Making Using Data and Technology: The influence of data and analytics in making better and more sustainable decisions is a proved strategy for business performance. This theme will touch on decision[1]making and planning through data to deliver better patient outcomes and built a resilient healthcare organisation.
Transformative Analytics for Patient Care: A critical theme to Data & Analytics in healthcare is the delivery and implementation strategies that enables organisations to grow with data
The key takeaways from Data & Analytics in Healthcare ASEAN Online 2022 are:
We started the day with an information-packed presentation on the democratisation of data by the very experienced Ali Khan , who delivered an international perspective into how democratisation can transform healthcare.
Building on what Ali shared and contributing even further to the discussion on data democratisation, was Tiffany Hong who share strong and interesting insights.
Next, we had a fascinating presentation by Dr Sitt Paing , whose data transformation project at Pun Hlaing Hospitals has certainly been eye-opening.

The esteemed panel took the pace up with their lively and engaging discussion on what is takes to be a successful leader in the healthcare data and analytics space. The panel included Stella Ramette , Manisha Keyal , Benedict Sulaiman S.Kom., MM., CFP , Ignacio Diaz , and Adam CHEE .
llowing the footsteps of such an experienced panel is challenging, but it was a walk in the park for Harry Chan , who shared a truly fantastic presentation on Analytics and ML/AI Use Cases in Private Healthcare.
Following Harry, we had a great fireside chat with Jon Teo and Richard Cramer on the ever-important topic ‘The Value of Resolving Healthcare Data Fragmentation’.
Nelson Tiongson took to the screen after, sharing valuable and key insights about data governance, with a presentation titled ‘Creating a Governance Framework for Health Data Management’.
Next, we had another great international perspective from Niro Sathiyamoorthy , who spoke about ‘Developing Predictive Analysis with Data from Multiple Sources’.
If ‘Determining Your Data Prioritisation to Unlock the Most Value’ is a priority of yours, I hope you did not miss Ram Kumar ’s excellent session on managing data prioritisation.
Citing a real use-case, John Wong , share valuable insights into reduce consultation waiting time in Emergency Departments with data analytics.
The next presentation was by Michael Andrew , who had great ideas to share with us on the topic ‘Operationalising Data to Deliver More Accurate Intelligence and Decision-Making’.
Our closing session was delivered by former Associate Director for Data Architecture, The United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Robert Whetsel , with a presentation titled ‘Don’t Start with Technology, Start with a Problem’.
