It’s a win win, win win scenario

It’s a win win, win win scenario

In this Ricoh guest blog, Tony Plummer, Managing Director of Paragon's Redruth operation in south west England, describes how the productivity and versatility of its three Ricoh Pro C9110 digital colour presses leave him free to focus on other aspects of the business.

Running a £14 million turnover customer communications business with a diverse product portfolio brings with it no shortage of challenges: on a daily, hourly and minute by minute basis. So, when a substantial part of my production infrastructure keeps on effortlessly outputting great work and saves me a lot of money – well, that means there is one less thing to worry about. It also means I get more sleep at night.

The digital print section is a key and growing part of the Paragon operation in Cornwall, south west England. And thankfully we have invested in three Ricoh Pro C9110 colour digital sheetfed systems. They are an operator’s dream – powering through a wide range of demanding, variable data jobs that include transactional, direct mail and marketing materials. The quality is offset-like for sure and, compared to the digital printers we shipped out to make way for them, they are extremely efficient. As a result, I am now saving about £30,000 a year on energy costs. In fact, taking other savings into account, we have seen a 25% reduction in Total Cost of Ownership. And productivity is up by 50%.

Paragon has a richly deserved reputation for quality and value. And every production device used to fulfil our clients’ orders has to complement and reinforce this reputation. So every engine is rigorously tested to ensure it meets our exacting standards. Needless to say, the Pro C9110s easily reach these requirements.

They also bring me peace of mind because they have integrated so well into our existing workflow, aided by their EFi Digital Front Ends. And the service and support from our partners from Ricoh has been exemplary.

Ultimately though I can relax only when I know that Paragon clients are benefiting too. And the superlative quality and supreme media flexibility of the three presses mean they get a great choice and the ability to delight their own customers consistently. So, all in all, everybody wins – Paragon, me, our clients, their customers and the planet.

The only scenarios that can be are :- Win/Win , Win/lose, Lose/Win , or Lose/Lose; anyone that uses win win , win win? doesn't understand the scenarios or their background.
