It's not who you are that holds you back...

Good morning!

I wanted to encourage you this morning. Don't we all need a little encouragement once in a while?

Looking back over the last decade, I realize now what was holding me back as a Chief Revenue Officer. ME!

I didn't love the company politics and nepotism.

I knew that my idea were big and bold and should be implemented but somehow most of them never were.

I knew I was meant for more but didn't know how to get there.

Then I was fired and I had to face this new reality where my 18 month non-compete would force me out of the industry I had 20 years of expertise in.

That moment is when I was confronted with the fact that it wasn't who I was that was holding me back it was who I thought couldn't be.

Because I had found success in Sales Leadership I thought that was the only thing that was possible in my life for me.

I was wrong.

Getting fired forced me to leap into the unknown.

In 2018 I wrote my first book Confidence Creator.

In 2019 I launched my podcast Creating Confidence and delivered my TedX talk.

In 2020 Real Leaders named me Top 40 Female Keynote Speaker of the year!

In 2021 Harper Collins Leadership published my 2nd book Overcome Your Villains. (Hardcover on sale for $6 today!)

In 2022 Real Leaders named me Top 50 Keynote Speaker in the World!

In 2023 I launched my first Mastermind and Masterclasses to teach others how to do the things that I taught myself. Just received the email, Real Leaders named me a Top Executive Coach of the year!

I didn't know any of these things were possible for me.

I had to surround myself with people who believed in me and pushed me to go for more.

I had to make the decision to bet on myself and stop playing small.

I made the ultimate statement of belief, I invested in myself.

That investment is one that will always pay off. It's also one you bring with you wherever you go!

I remember investing in myself when I launched my personal brand, hired my editor for my first book, hired my producer for my podcast, hired my photographer for my brand shoots, hired my editor for my book proposal and so many other times.

Today, I am encouraging you to realized that it is not who you are that is holding you back it is who you think you are not.

Make today the day that you invest in yourself and claim the future you that you have the potential to be.
