It's too good to be true...or is it??

I can't remember when I first heard the phrase "if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is," but it stuck with me for a very long time. Funny thing is you can apply that phrase to almost anything in life - a new job, buying a house, dating someone new and more!!
But what IF it sounds too good to be true but it IS true??
Growing up I watched my father work HARD to give his family the life he knew we deserved. Some of my fondest memories growing up were putting on my overalls and going to work with him when he was "just a plumber". I felt so cool being my Dad's little side kick. (Yes I am totally a daddy's girl). Now I have the pleasure of watching him sit in his office running a multi-million dollar company. He taught us to always strive for success, listen and learn and NEVER give up!! He also taught us how to manage our finances wisely and to always be open minded to opportunities that presented themselves because they presented themselves for a REASON...what we did with the opportunity was up to us.
When it was time for me to enter the workforce and chase my dreams NOTHING stopped me. Once I had reached my full potential in Australia, I packed my whole life into two suitcases and moved to America not knowing a single person. Was it scary? Absolutely. But was it worth it? 110%.
Fast-forward seven years and I've been blessed to have achieved all my goals I set for myself and more. But there was one "opportunity" that presented itself 18 months ago that I SWORE I'd never be a part of...a network marketing company.
I had watched many friends, colleagues and people I admired for years join different companies but it just wasn't for me. Honestly, I think my pride got in the way. I didn't want to be "that girl" but I was sick and tired of being sick and tired and making just enough to pay the bills.
I bit the bullet and joined a company. A company with a product that was a game changer for me and a company that sounded "too good to be true".
But it was TRUE.
I decided to jump all in and be "that girl" and GUESS WHAT? It totally changed my life. Even better...it was FREE to join. I told you it sounded too good to be true!!!
Goodbye being sick and tired of being sick and tired. Goodbye pinching pennies just to pay the bills. Goodbye driving an old vehicle with over 200,000 miles on it. Goodbye being skeptical and scared of what taking a chance could do.
If someone presents an opportunity that sounds "too good to be true" before you say NO why don't you give it a chance. What if it COULD change your life??
You never know how AMAZING something can be until you actually give it a shot.

7 年Amazing and so true! It really is too good to be true, but is so true, that it just doesn't need any support to prove itself true. Nice one to pick up and call it a day. Thank you sharing your beautiful experiences, and the daddy love (mines getting it as well :)) Have a blessed night. Kind regards, Tushar
