It’s Not the Title, It’s How You Wear It

There’s something about updating your LinkedIn profile that feels more significant than just adding a new job title. It’s about marking a shift—signaling you’re stepping into something bigger. A promotion isn’t just a title; it comes with new responsibilities, new routines, and sometimes, a new version of yourself.
But here’s the thing: even though the position is new, I’ve been wearing it for a while. It’s like trying on a blazer—adjusting it, seeing how it feels, and eventually making it your own. It’s less about the title and more about how it fits.
When I first started, it wasn’t the title that made me feel different. It was the daily experience of guiding others, adapting to challenges, and finding my own style. Over time, it became less about the title and more about the confidence I gained in the process.
I’m excited—not just for the role itself, but for the clarity it’s given me. Working for a company that values innovation beyond its products has made all the difference. It’s allowed me to continue shaping the role, just like you do when you take the tags off something you know is yours.
It’s not about the title—it’s about how you grow into it. And that’s something worth updating.
