It's that time of year...

Yup, it's that time of year - the holidays. Whatever that means to you, to some folks it's a dark and scary time. Because they're hungry. (Yes - I know it's also the time of year when charities ramp up their fundraising. Tugs at your heartstrings, doesn't it? It should.)

If you live in the Monroe County, NY area, you know there's plenty of need. So does Operation Food Basket, which is why this group of volunteers has been providing food to Rochester-area families during this season for 40 years.

This year, the goal is to provide healthy food for 400+ families, totaling 1800 people. Of those, 1200 are children. With your help the campaign will provide a week's worth of healthy food (or more!) for those folks. What a difference that will make - reducing hunger pangs, plus the warm feeling of knowing that someone CARES!

As little as $25 will feed one person, but anything toward the modest $45,000 goal will help. And if you can't give, the campaign also needs volunteers.
