Dear God, I shouldn’t have watched that video.
I cannot believe he had to die like that.
When will this stop?
RIP George Floyd - May 25, 2020
I remember a year ago, my 10-year-old son was called a “Burnt Chicken Nugget” at school by a classmate.
The principal and the teacher emailed me to discuss the incident.
Before I responded, I asked my son how he handled it, so that I was prepared to handle the conversation.
He told his classmate that the comment offended him, and that he should be sensitive as to how comments like that could be received.
He told me, that once he gave his classmate the feedback, the classmate apologized, and he immediately forgave him, and they moved on.
I decided I didn’t need to call the principal or teacher back.
My son handled it like an expert.
He was honest and courageous.
