It's Time To Step Up - Men Aren't Broken But The System Is

'In the wake of the sexual harassment scandals in Hollywood and the UK political institutes, people are saying ‘are men in crisis?’ We don’t think that men are in crisis, but we do think that the invisible patriarchy that has shaped much of the western world is in crisis. We have government systems, organisational structures, community structures and family structures that are built around an invisible system in which men hold the power. And this is no longer serving the world well.

The complexity and craziness of what we are facing as a world community is increasing at an alarming rate. The massive global issues of how we treat our planet, war, poverty and hunger can’t be dealt with using out dated and oppressive power structures. (And yes ‘oppressive’ is a strong word and the oppression that we are talking about here is the intentional and unintentional censoring of the wisdom and creativity of those who don’t hold the power).

We urgently need new forms of leadership to rise up. We need to hear voices that haven’t been heard and give space to wisdom that hasn’t yet been experienced. This doesn’t happen overnight. It needs deliberate, intentional and sustained resourcing of those who have not had the power so that they can step up and share power. It’s not about one gender being better than the others, it about how we build power structures that enable both women and men to contribute authentically and equally.

We’ve created Catalyst Collective to play our part in equipping women to step up and shift the system.

Today, we are launching our first product. It’s called Confidence Cocktail and it’s focused on helping women close the gap between who they want to be in the world, and who their confidence is allowing them to be, so that they can contribute even more authentically and even more equally.

We are offering a free mini course which is open to anyone who wants to explore and close their confidence gap. To find out more about this and our work in the world join us here  https://www.catalyst-collective.com/mini-course/1-your-confidence-gap

Thanks Fiona. I love your image and your message - 'passion led us here'. Indeed. Passion is such a potent embodied energy for change and transformation. I'm cheering you and Katy on; and all of us. It's time to step up; and I'll be experimenting with your 'confidence cocktail' to support me on my journey. I'll be recommending you to other women in my network too.
