It’s time to stay focused and invest in your personal development

We live in a world where everything is uncertain. We make plans, build steps to achieve it, but some things take it out of control, and we have to start again. Go back to step one. We have to adapt ourselves to a new reality that for us, which is entirely uncharted. The new fact brings to our challenges, to what some people are ready to adjust or not.

Sometimes changes are frightening us like when we first time fell in love - the uncertainty of what happens next, how the other person will behave or will leave us and break our heart or even us inside. We are confident when this particular person next to us, we have a feeling that together we can rule the world. Dreams, plans and everything seem so real in that specific moment, and you can reach them with your own hands. Illusions that everything is how it is supposed to go and it will be like this for a long time. This scenario could only happen if we all be living in a fairy tale. We all know that real-world has other directions or even plans for us. Do you remember the feeling when your heart was broken? How it made you feel? Broken, depressed, anxious of what how you will leave us?

The reality has broken me many times. I've been building castles, dreams, plans, but at one-point new circumstances came and I had to revise it again and again. Sometimes it hurts, knowing that there's nothing you can do and you feel like maybe it is time to give up. First days you think that there's nothing you can do; you just stop trying. Even perhaps you feel like it is you against the world. But somewhere inside you know it's the only time, and you know there will be better days.

Recently I've started realising that in this kind of situations people are usually divided into two types—ones who are giving up and start complaining or even blaming the world. On the contrary, the other one starts thinking of Plan B or even Plan C. It is everyone right to choose their type. I have always been a type 2 person. And here's why it is better to adjust yourself to the second type.

To run a different kind of scenarios and know what you will do in different steps even if something goes wrong – you're on the right way. Why is it right and better? Well, you are not rising your hopes up, you are realistic, and you're preparing even if the world change ultimately. You are analysing what you have been through, what you have achieved so far, what could go better and many more. Analysing makes you learn on your past mistakes and improve yourself to a better version. After doing that, you see your focus and direction. You start making plans, but this time you take into consideration all internal and external factors.

When we were all studying at the university, we all did SWOT analysis, or we might hear of it occasionally during our lifetime. SWOT is similar to what we do for our career, running a new business or a new project. The same thing you involuntarily do when it comes to planning your life. Knowing your strengths, weaknesses, opportunity and threats help you to go through any circumstance that the world could bring better and more relaxed. So either you type 1 person or type 2 - stay focused no matter what the world brings to you the next day.

Invest your time in your personal development. No fear or circumstances should impact your plans, cause all you need to do is to make some adjustments to it.
