It's time to recognize your Creative Potential!
Do you feel seen in your creativity?
It is?inherent to the self, in our human nature, the?need to be seen?—?recognized, valued,?sustained. As humans, we rely on mirrors to be able to see ourselves. Yet, when a physical mirror (the object) is not available, a human shape of it comes into action: that person who shows up in perfect timing,?and?interacts?with us, allowing us to see ourselves from a different perspective, even?discovering new corners of our ways and personality.?
Perhaps, bringing up?that?comment that makes me move into my?creative expression!
This month, we are addressing the second dimension of?Creative Potential on an Organizational Level:?External Recognition.
Dive into it with us, starting with one of our?inspirational?stories.
A?Culture of Reinvention??
From unlimited holidays to abolishing financial approvals,?Netflix offers a fundamentally different way to run any organization, one far more in tune with a fast-paced world.?For anyone interested in creativity, productivity, and innovation, Netflix culture is something close to a holy grain (in the?No Rules Rules?book synopsis).
Reed Hastings , co-founder & chairman of Netflix, rejected the conventional wisdom under which other companies operate and defied tradition. He has developed and?promoted a culture focused on freedom and responsibility?that allowed Netflix to adapt and innovate as its members — and the world — have transformed.
By developing and offering new standards, such as?valuing people over process, emphasizing?innovation over efficiency, and giving employees context, not controls, Hasting has shown the way to innovate from the inside out — an example of human-centred design in a human-centred industry.?
Discover the?Dimensions?of Creative Potential
With the knowledge that employees are the main contributors to organizations' creativity, it is necessary for these?to build an environment and an organizational culture that promotes and triggers the creativity of employees, in order?to retain and?attract?a wider range of talented professionals.

At an Organizational?level
According to the work developed by CREATIVE YOU ?,?there are 7 dimensions?to pay attention to, on an organizational level.??
These weeks, we will be focusing on the second of those dimensions:?
2. External Recognition?
Valuing and recognizing creativity by others, whether they are managers, clients, professionals or benchmark individuals.
When in a culture of high levels of judgment, be it towards another or to ourselves, it becomes difficult to recognize our value as creative individuals.
It becomes therefore crucial to organizations and enterprises to boost an environment that is judgment free, integrated into a culture of recognition where empowerment is the fuel.?
In the following weeks, we will bring some tips on how to boost such an environment.
