Greetings Reader,
It’s summertime. Shorts are in, schools are out, and airports are more crowded than an asteroid belt. But before you set off for an overseas reboot, when’s the last time you let your computer put its polycarbonate feet up?
If your answer is weeks or months, you might want to reboot your computer before the day’s out. But don’t do it before you’ve finished reading my newsletter.

The benefits of a reboot
Enhanced performance
Technology or otherwise, no one wants a clogged system. By performing a reboot, your computer has a chance to close any files or processes that may be jamming up its system.
Improved security
Viruses are crafty little whatnots. They can hide in your system causing all sorts of problems without you even realising. Performing a reboot not only installs the latest security updates, but can also send malicious software on its way. Close the door on your way out!
Better battery life
If you’re a commuter with a computer or work from remote locations without a charge point, a system reboot will close unused files and programs to help restore your battery life.
