It's time for a new independent at Town Hall.

I’m glad that Clover Moore has finally clarified she is running again kicking off her formal campaign with a call to keep Sydney independent because that’s exactly what I plan to do.

History has shown that it’s always tempting for politicians to go one round too many when the rest of the electorate has moved on.

This time small business won’t be ignored because they will have a vote.
They will play a vital role in electing someone who understands their frustrations and enables opportunities for them to thrive and succeed.

As Lord Mayor I will balance the needs of the whole community with the opportunities that stand before us as a world class city. Leadership of this city shouldn’t be set up as a grudge match with Macquarie Street.

The information age is continuing to transform the way we live, work and play and I intend for Sydney to be the brightest light on the global stage.
