It's Time To Let Go of Your Addictions to Negative Emotions & Limiting Beliefs, So Says Dr. Joe Dispenza
Today we are going to revisit Dr. Joe Dispenza’s work. He is one of my favorite outside-the-box thinkers in the world of healing because he has been able to scientifically prove through brain scans that we humans have the ability to get rid of chronic illness by getting rid of our addictions to negative thoughts and emotions. Dr. Dispenza is a biochemist, neuroscientist, cellular biologist, researcher of memory formation, aging, and longevity, coming from the foundation of being a Doctor of Chiropractor (D.C.).
Dr. Joe, explains that there is a false belief that many people have in their thinking which would be that a new personality can be made as to the same person that they currently are.
Folks: You have to become a different personality to become a NEW personality.
When we understand that new thoughts will create new feelings, which in turn create new behaviors, bringing new emotions, inspiring new thoughts. That my friends are called ‘evolution.’
Unfortunately, the majority of people in the western world spend the majority of their lives in the hormones of stress (adrenaline and cortisol).
The definition of stress is when your body is knocked out of homeostasis (balance). The stress response is what your body does innately to bring it back in order, which is the definition of ‘resilience.’
The major message that Dr. Joe wants average people to understand is that we humans have the innate ability to think ourselves into stressful thoughts, releasing so much of these stress hormones into our bodies to that we create illness in our bodies.
The 3 Types of Stress:
Physical stress — an injury or trauma
Chemical stress — viruses, bacterias, fungus, heavy metals, and toxins
Emotional stress — heavy traffic, bills to pay, relationship difficulties
Each one of these types of stressors knocks your brain and body out of balance.
All creatures in nature can tolerate short-term stress. A deer is chased by a coyote… and the deer outruns the coyote. The deer is now no longer stressed with its chemistry returning to normal.
Human beings are different because we can turn on the stress automatically just by THINKING of some future worst-case scenario. Human beings can make our thoughts more real than anything. We can focus on that possibility to the exclusion of everything else, knocking your body out of balance, just by thought alone.
Your body is tattooed in our memories believing that, the experience in our memory is happening in the present moment.
But this is the thing: You can turn on the stress response just by thought alone.
The hormones of stress down-regulate genes that create disease, which means that your thoughts can make you sick.
So, here is the question that we all need to ask ourselves especially during these strange times in which we find ourselves currently living:
If your thoughts can make you sick, can your thoughts make you well?
The hormones of stress give the body and brain a rush of energy, like a narcotic, becoming like a drug that people become very addicted to. The stress hormone is a drug-using their problems and conditions in their lives to remember who they think they are — meaning a bad relationship, terrible circumstances, which are all necessary to reaffirm who they think they are because God forbid they couldn’t feel anything.
If the hormones of stress become like a narcotic then by turning them on by thought alone we can become addicted to our own thoughts. When it comes time to change… the moment you are no longer making certain hormones that make you feel a certain way those feelings drive those same thoughts (insecure thought begets more insecure thoughts for 30 years giving one the belief that “I am insecure”… commanding your body to a certain condition…your brain will start to tell you that you modified your receptor sights…saying we have been doing this for 20 or 30 years and I am counting on those chemicals coming… sending the message back to create those insecure thoughts in this case… making it very hard to change those thoughts every single day.
Decades of fear, hatred, or insecurity make people sick. We can remember experiences better because we remember how we felt. We are in the same environment so we know what feels ‘normal’ to us. So you keep signaling the same gene.
The emotions of anger, fear, anxiety, hopelessness, guilt, shame etc are familiar to us — those emotions are derived from stress — they imbalance us and become our reality.
Whenever we are triggered by our emotions, we are setting off a chemical chain of actions and when that occurs for a few days that is called a ‘mood’ and you realize ‘I am in a mood.’ And someone asks you why you are in a mood and you say ‘because this thing happened to me 5 days ago and I am living by that same emotional reaction’ which I have been living in for weeks or months creating your ‘temperament’. After 9 months going on for many years on end you now have a ‘personality trait’ meaning that people believing that this is who they are
Now here is something that most people never think about and that is the fact that 50% of what you say about your past is NOT TRUE because you are not the same person, no longer being there in your past.
So we NEED to THINK DIFFERENTLY
If you can’t think greater than you feel ask yourself if you are thinking in the past, or in the present — thinking the same thing every day, which means that nothing different is happening in your life.
As long as we are living with the same emotions thinking it is living in the same body, and the mind is literally holding on to the emotions of the past the body is living as the UNCONSCIOUS MIND.
We become selfish because in an emergency we have to care for ourselves always being under these stressful thoughts, creating those stress hormones
However, that’s not who you are — living by the hormones of the stress. We are living in the material world — separating us from reality — no time to trust, or learn, — it’s time to protect ourselves from the outside world as we continue trying to predict the future based on what happened in the past.
What happens when we live like that?
We call that neurosis, anxiety, and insomnia.
We feel separate from our inside selves and possibilities.
What would happen if you took yourself out of the outer world?
What would I need to do or to be happy?
Who could I emulate to be happier?
Mirror neurons change the brain to fire in new sequences and new patterns > changes your mind — the mind is the brain at work — in action. Reminding yourself who you want to be > becoming that new person.
You have this thought one day that I am not getting up from this meditation till I feel like that new person. The thought becomes the new emotion, falling in love with yourself before it is made manifest, feeling those strong new positive emotions, making it real, firing off those different genes, giving yourself a sample of a taste of what you want in the future which is reconditioning the mind.
Your heart opens up moving from your state of merely surviving to a state of creation. Long moments when you lose track of time and space (we call this hypnosis which is being in the ‘flow’) — finding time went by much quicker then we thought. We are now in the creative center of the prefrontal cortex leading the entire brain to select different networks of neurons.
The frontal lobe creates a picture = intention = making that picture more real than anything else, and is inspired by the future.
By doing this you create stasis in your body, which reverses the negative process. You now have equilibrium allowing you to create a new personality meaning that you just created a new personality.
How do you do this stuff?
Why is it so hard to change?
It is only when we DECIDE to no longer hold the hate of others, the resentment, the fear, that anger, the guilt, or the shame that we are able to turn our thinking around and create a new personality that reflects the health that our bodies were created to have if we would only CHOOSE to be healthy.
In my own case, I made the decision to let go of the anger that I had about many things that occurred in my teens, and then my 20s and 30s and with that, I was able in my 40s to let go of bipolar 2, disappear a meningioma (non-cancerous) 2.2 cm tumor totally away. Ridding myself of bronchial asthma was so important as a hypnotist, such as me which because for several years bronchial asthma made doing hypnosis so difficult. The talking would cause ever more phlegm to be produced causing more coughing which was very scary for my clients and certainly disgusting and uncomfortable for me on all levels. It was not exactly the picture of health and vibrancy I wanted to be showing to my clients at the time.
As Dr. Joe states were true for his patients, was true for me as well. These were never things that I had to do, it was something I chose to do in each and every case.
I let go of the negative emotions and limiting beliefs rewiring my brain by changing my thoughts, letting go of all the negative crap of the past, and created a life full of health and vitality that I now enjoy more than I ever had in my younger years.
It was and is still absolutely amazing!
Learning: This is the reality folks. If I could do it never believing that my health was outside of myself, then perhaps you too can choose to focus on what you would love your future to be, letting all the negative crap of your past go by the wayside. But this is the thing, it will only happen if you are willing to drop the addiction that you have to your negative emotions and limiting beliefs…only if you are willing to do that, will you be able to create your new personality that will allow for a much healthier and dare I say happier life to be lived on into your future.
