IT'S TIME TO HAVE FUN AT WORK!

I'm super proud to announce details of our next Comedy in the Community programme running throughout March and April. For the second year running Funny Women CIC has been awarded funding by Medway Council and the UK Government to provide an extended programme of events.

I spent most of last year focused on applying for funding for projects very close to my heart. Not much fun but community is incredibly important to me and, in the spirit of 'paying it forward', I'm proud to be producing a series of events based on my experiences over the last 23 years in comedy. It really is time we all had a bit more fun at work, isn't it? I can't wait to show you how!

This programme is designed to encourage future engagement and leadership in the voluntary and business sectors across Medway. While we continue to recognise the contribution that women make in the running of charities, local authority services, arts organisations and more, we particularly want to encourage the support of all genders, especially our male allies, and create more diverse role models within our local communities.?

?STAND UP TO STAND OUT – CELEBRATING INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY

Celebrating International Women’s Day in the only way we know how – by making mirth and having some fun!? Join us for some confidence boosting, mirth making and all-female fun at this special STAND UP TO STAND OUT workshop and a unique shopping experience! This event takes place at?The Hangar by Wisdom Hospice Shops, a wonderful emporium of preloved clothing, household items, books, toys and bric-a-brac.

HOW TO HAVE FUN AT WORK

LOCATION: ASCEND CoWorking, Pentagon Centre, Chatham

We are celebrating the joy (yes, really!) of work in partnership with Medway Council and the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) in the only way we know how – by encouraging a few laughs and expanding our creative boundaries with humour.?

Featuring workshops, panel discussion, essential networking and live comedy (of course!), and we will show you how to express your ideas more confidently and freely using some of the tried and tested tricks of the comedy trade. All taking place in the incredible new Ascend Coworking space in Chatham.

STAND UP TO STAND OUT FOR ALL

Monday 24th March, 5.00-8.00pm

LOCATION:?MEDWAY RUGBY FOOTBALL CLUB, Priestfields Recreation Ground, Rochester.

To prove that there’s an equal playing field when it comes to using humour, everybody is welcome to join us for some confidence boosting, mirth making, foolery and fun at this special STAND UP TO STAND OUT workshop taking place at Medway Rugby Football Club followed by an open mic for all.

STAND UP TO STAND OUT FOR SENIORS

Monday 7th April, 5.00-8.00pm

LOCATION: THE NET COMMUNITY HUB, ?Weedswood, Walderslade.

Come along and prove that we get funnier as we age at this workshop and open mic aimed at anybody who considers themselves to be a senior citizen here in Medway. Join us at The Net Community Hub to explore techniques to communicate memorably and creatively within your communities and networks.
