It's time to double down...
This is something I think about often.
Trusting myself to make big decisions in the face of a lot of unknowns. At times, a lot of unknowns especially flying through the turbulence of Covid.
I'm sure a lot of you have processes for decision making. Pro's and con's, likelihoods of risk, management of consequence etc. etc. but at times you won't see all the variables and external factors will test your ability to think with agility.
There is, however, one constant that you can rely on.
Yourself.
I speak often with people who don't trust their judgement when I know that have what it takes in them.
This happens when confidence and self-esteem are rocked.
I see this in the leadership space and the adventure space.
"I don't have it in me to summit Kilimanjaro" or, "there is no way the team are going to hit their goals and I'll be for the chopping block."
There is one thing I want to share with you all...
You're all much stronger than you think and a hell of a lot more capable than you believe.
Make that big decision.
Empower yourself.
Not only will you feel awesome but you'll then have stretched your personal boundaries and gain a load more courage!
WOW!
Now, I'm not suggesting you all start jumping out of planes without parachutes because you believe you can fly (!) as there still needs to be an assessment of risk and consequence.
It's also important that you don't deviate from your WHY and also don't compromise your values in the process.
Believe in you.
Go do the thing, make that decision, you've got this...
Double down on yourself.
Let me know how it goes?!
Regards,
Jason
