It’s the time again “Group Technology Managers are focusing on Talents”

At regular intervals, my colleague and talent SPOC Ute Zimmermann brings together the executives from the Group Technology department. The aim is to reflect on talent development in one's own area, to talk about it and to sharpen the orientation for the future. In her GT Talent Magnet role for VTI talent community, she is connecting the dots.

?

Since the beginning of our Talents@VTI journey in 2021, the Business Area Group Technology (GT) has strongly supported and invested in the concept of a business-driven community. With content, critical questions and top-notch Experts. GT helps to contributes that the diversity of talents in the community, can work and develop on tangible concepts or even first MVPs – creating either impact for GT, VTI, DT or even customers. A Huge lever and another way how of working more innovatively, effectively, and reflectively.

This year I was there again, and together with Ute Zimmermann , Leif Heitzer Aaron Schrader and Andrea Maier , we have created a framework for open, constructive and creative exchange. Critical questions were discussed, such as: "How much leadership involvement is needed in the annual Talent Lifecycle?" and "How do synergies arise through initiatives such as the international tech community approach 'Talents@VTI' within the VTI Board area?".

In the second part of the day, the focus was on the talents and the exchange with GT Managers. They shared their experiences from the past lifecycle and presented work results from community activities such as the Business Challenges. These activities help to connects Talents and ideas across our large and global VTI ecosystem creating cooperate synergies and greater networks.
