"It's supposed to be hard. If it wasn't hard, everyone would do it. The hard is what makes it great."

I had been contemplating personal development for a while. There was just too much happening. I want to give my all! There were so many transformations that needed to take place!

I have adopted the following habits into my daily routine...

Gym- I have attended the gym 29 days out of 34. My focus in the gym has been weight lifting, alongside biking. These are two new areas for me! The other days, I have either walked 8-10 miles or ran between 5-7K. One day I did both!

Which means... I have achieved 34 days of fitness!

Reading- I read every day for 36 days. Average time of about 70 minutes! One of the days, I fell asleep after reading the notes pages of Sam Walton’s- Made In America book. Does that count?

Here's an article with some takeaways from the eight books that I read: https://www.dhirubhai.net/pulse/reading-one-book-like-eating-potato-chip-scott

Meditation- I have been meditating (2x 10 minutes a day), in the morning, and just before lunch. I started meditating on the 24th of July, I have missed one morning, as well as a days worth since then.

Waking up (6 am)- I started trying to wake up every day on the 1st of July. I achieved my goal 13 times from the first 15 days. Then I became a little bit complacent... I achieved 21 days out of the first 30. In August, I haven't managed to wake up at 6 am once.

Why?

  • My hayfever hasn't been very good during the summer.
  • Too many late nights- sleep is so important!
  • My phone was kept on mute. Can your alarm still go off? LOL

I really need to dive in deeper and solve this issue!

Overall... Pretty sweet right?

This is so true! Self care doesn't need to be going for massage and vacation, it can be reading a personal development book or attend a personal development course ????
