It's a Super-Duper Small World

How's your winter going? Had enough rain, ice, or Santos?

In this month's newsletter, I'll introduce you to a wonderful team of agents in Boston, share one of my favorite LA neighborhoods and take a look back at some of the most memorable of all Super Bowl moments.

Happy Super Sunday!

A Boston Tea Party: Meet Ellen & Janis

Hang on. Spring's a coming.

Have you ever wanted to live in Boston? Full disclosure: as a lifelong Laker fan I am not in any way suggesting you relocate to the home of the dreaded Celtics. BUT, if you absolutely must, I have a wonderful real estate resource for you.

I met Ellen Grubert and Janis Lippman last year and was immediately impressed by their warmth, knowledge and sense of community. And it’s that last part that is so important. They have lived and worked in the area for over 35 years, which has given them a sense of purpose that compliments their deep understanding and appreciation of the neighborhoods they both serve and love.

They are part of my informal Small Network of vetted real estate pros (that's right, I got your back). So, when next considering a visit to the Boston area, reach out and I'll happily make a connection. In the meantime, take a look at their story below.

My LA: This is Los Feliz

They say there are almost 1,000 different neighborhoods in LA. Well, as a native Angeleno, I’ve worked, lived and played in many of them. Today, I'm exploring Los Feliz, a wonderful mix of historic mansions and charming bungalows. This unique neighborhood manages to strike a balance between hipster vibe and health-driven, offering the urban comforts of hyperlocal boutiques and restaurants and the great outdoors, thanks to the many trails and grassy knolls of one of the largest parks in North America.

Take a look at the video tour below. I'd love to show you this wonderful neighborhood.

Building a Brand: The Super Bowl

Who will you be rooting for this Sunday? Mahomes and the Chiefs? The Eagles, Rihanna, Budweiser? For 57 years, Super Bowl Sunday has been one of the most anticipated days of the year. And yet, we all come to it with different desires and expectations. Was your favorite past moment Brady overcoming 28-3 against the Falcons? Nipplegate? Or like so many of my former colleagues in the advertising world, Apple’s 1984?

If the latter, then this list of some of the all-time most memorable Super Bowl ads will no doubt bring a smile.

In Escrow in Woodland Hills

22663 Macfarlane Drive
4BD|4BA offered at $1,349,000

They say "it’s not a good time to be in the market."

I say nonsense! Sure, inventory is tight. Sure, rates are higher than last year’s historical lows. But that simply serves to create a market swimming in opportunity.

Why?

Many buyers have put their search on hold leaving quality homes sitting on the market for 60+ days, causing sellers to be more realistic about price reductions and concessions.

So proud and excited for my clients who took advantage of this “Great Pause” by looking at a ton of inventory and being prepared to write aggressively when they fell in love. They are now in escrow on this incredible view home in Woodland Hills! (Oh, and they locked in a 5% rate.)

A Special Client Testimonial

When I started in real estate in 2019, a childhood friend determined he’d be my first client. He referred my first two deals. He and his wife gave me an opportunity to list and sell an investment property. Together, we started building out their retirement strategy. And then, two weeks before escrow closed, he passed away. So now what? While his widow and I were friendly, we barely knew each other. And yet, we had this bond; our beautiful friend.

So, we gutted it out. And slowly built understanding. And that’s why this testimonial means a great deal to me.

I love what I do and am grateful to work with people who value collaboration, who are willing to take a leap of faith and trust in the process.

This is the Art of Representation

  • Define and Execute the Strategy
  • Jump Aggressively. Be Smart
  • Let Go and Trust the Process
  • Celebrate Big!

A native Angeleno, I grew up in a "show-biz family" and began my career as a third-generation theatrical agent impacting the careers of actors including the likes of Crispin Glover, Ray Liotta and Demi Moore. After beginning a family, I traded Sunset Blvd for Madison Avenue and spent the next 20 years in advertising, creating and implementing marketing strategies that drove new business growth, resulting in the successful onboarding of clients such as Coca-Cola, Comcast, Electronic Arts, Nike, Pinkberry, Princess Cruises and the US Army among many others.

I now apply those same principles of agency; integrity, accountability and perseverance to my clients as we work together to define and fulfill their real estate investment strategies.
