It's A Stretch To Call You Friend

In recent months I have resolved to channel my social activist voice through my songs. “It’s A Stretch To Call You Friend” is my commentary on the excesses and abuses of social media. I will be the first to sing the praises of social media for fighting tyranny and the violations of human rights around the world. It certainly holds the potential for us to take to heart despite cultural and religious differences that we are all members of one very large family. Conversely, on a day to day basis social media divides us. It is rife with micro and macro assaults on the dignity, sufficiency and worth of suffering human beings who cannot identify with the purveyors of idealized images who desire their audiences to mirror these Rockwell-like fantasies as lived truths.
