Did you know it takes Earth 365 days, 5 hours, 48 minutes and 56 seconds to orbit the sun each year? And that if we didn’t account for this extra time by adding a bonus day to the calendar every four years, the seasons would begin to drift and over a period of 700 years, summers in the northern hemisphere would begin to occur in December. I know. Crazy!
