The Annual MIT Energy Conference was held on March 2 and 3 in Kendall Square, in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The general direction and conclusion of this year's conference was that the rapid transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy electrification is well underway, and is likely to happen much faster than many people realize. Disruptive and better technologies that break through the price barrier and become cheaper and easier than alternatives have rapidly dominated societies since the beginning of human history. It is an evolutionary and sometimes revolutionary process.

"For example, when a Colorado utility recently put out bids to replace the generating capacity of two large coal plants, they got bids for far more capacity than they needed — with the vast majority of prices for wind or solar power plus storage actually lower than those of coal power in the state."

The FERC in the USA also just passed a MAJOR Ruling that will allow Energy Storage to participate in Energy Markets across the Nation. This will radically change the landscape and levels the playing field. It will allow greater access and enable the markets to fairly decide whether Solar and other R.E. + Storage systems will gain traction and excel over traditional fossil fuel generation sources... and they WILL!!
