I am just going to say it with no remorse. The hustle culture is going to pose more problems than you or I can imagine.
We are now living in a time where if one doesn't run oneself into the ground by sheer work then they are made to feel guilty about it.
There is a reason why 8 hours is considered an optimal time frame to get hour work done. Anything more than that leads to a possibility of being burned out which poses a big problem in the long run for both the worker and the client.
And not just clients. Many companies focus on the well-being of their workers, but sometimes it is your colleagues and their reaction to you just enjoying your vacation that can affect you the most.
"Yes, I have worked hard on the project", "Yes, I took the holiday because I needed it." "NO this job won't be the end of me."
The problem with hustle culture is in the very fundamental building block of any individual. It completely forgets that success means different things for different people.
What success may mean to a student is different for a musician. What success means to a freelancer is different than what success means to a CEO of a company.
Find out what you truly value, and work a little day by day at it.
