Unsurprisingly, yesterday’s budget was dominated by talk of the coronavirus, with the Government putting in place short term measures to try and keep things afloat while the world deals with the disease.
But as well as those short-term measures, there were plenty of announcements concerning the long-term future too.
And, as expected, the Chancellor confirmed the changes around company car tax, and specifically the fact that electric vehicles will incur zero benefit in kind tax when used as company vehicles.
Which means that it’s official: if you want to do your bit for the environment, and reduce your employees’ tax bills, then an electric vehicle is well worth consideration.
