It's official. "Get Your Shine" has launched.

Shine your light on your dreams. Because anything is possible if you’re willing to believe in it, work hard for it, and manage your expectations for when it will occur. And, I’ll prove it.

Today we officially launched this brand I've been building to help people and companies "Get Your Shine." With newly launched digital solutions to support virtual personal brand development and remote corporate culture activation, if feels as if there's no better time than now for me to push the official go button.

I’m AJ Sarcione and that’s why I believe in these 4P’s: Possibility, Positivity, Performance and Personality. I’m the creator of The Shine Scale?, a proprietary personality quiz that helps you understand your level of Shine across 14 characteristics that come from the heart and mind, providing data to accelerate success. One of the reasons I built this was because many years ago I lived out a dream of singing with Whitney Houston when she asked me to join her on stage. The moment was unexpected. Yet it felt unintentionally perfect.

How does this connect to dreams? When Whitney asked me to sing with her, I was at one of her concerts, sitting in the front row, singing along with her during each song as if we were signing together - it felt like I was living out the dream I always had. But then she stopped her concert and said she wanted the audience to hear me. Do I think she could actually hear me signing? Maybe…I am loud. But, I think it was my Energy and my Passion that connected with her first, and then it was my ability to Control my emotions that drew her to me. Energy, Passion and Control are three of the characteristics of Shine I mentioned. I believe mine were sparking to their fullest when my dream came true.

It’s not only dreams that inspired The Shine Scale?. After I increased my salary by over 450% in 5 years, I looked back and started to figure out why. Prior to this, I had walked away from my career for a bit and was basically broke. When I decided to hop back into communications and marketing my personality helped me land a six figure job and I grew that each year at a huge rate. 

I ultimately found myself creating and leading Internal Marketing at Yahoo, reporting to our CMO, helping our CEO, Marissa Mayer, keep employees engaged and motivated during the acquisition by Verizon. After that occurred, I became the Head of Mojo for the new company and flew around the world speaking with employees in our global offices to help our CEO, Tim Armstrong, build culture. Both of those roles were something I loved. In retrospect, they were positions I always wanted, but as I created them, it was as if they were gifts that were meant to be, and gave me the sense of getting unintentional perfection (UP.)

You need to Get Your Shine to Get UP.

When you develop the characteristics of shine, you Unlock and Unblock your potential for accelerated success. This is why I developed my coaching practice around this concept, to help people ignite, fuel and release their shine. 

However, everything begins with The Shine Scale?. The data it provides helps show which characteristics are sparking the most and which have the greatest opportunity to still spark. And, the tool has proven to show that most people fall into what would be a regular “average” range on a 1-100 scoring chart with regards to typical school standards, and with focus, work and time, you can shift your score up.

As I mentioned, there are 14 characteristics of shine. 7 of them come from the heart, and the other 7 from the mind. You can find the full list of them here. But, when you’re sparking across all of them, that’s when your shine is strongest. 

To spark is significant to this work, which is why I titled my first book “SPARK: Unlock & Unblock Your Shine Potential,” providing various easily-digestible lessons that focus on memorable mechanisms to build your shine.

Shine occurs when your bright energy creates change. That bright energy is different for everyone. Brightness doesn't have a volume to it. But it does have a warmth. It doesn't have a size to it. But it does have power. Your bright energy is unique to you and the brand you naturally are, and when it is fully engaged it can help to shift other people and environments around you in your favor, in ways that feel like they’re meant to be, or as I like to call it, unintentionally perfect.
