This is Lisa Congdon. You might have seen her colorful graphic images at the Modern Museum of Art in New York or on the front of a t-shirt in Target. She's a hugely successful fine artist, but she didn't begin to draw until she was 33, and her career truly took off in midlife. I first met Lisa years before that. We worked together at a nonprofit that supported education reform.
A few years ago, Lisa came through the studio to talk about how she shifted gears in her own career, and this conversation remains one of my favorite episodes of all time. To me, it's proof that any of us can begin something entirely new at any point and experience great success.
As our archives have grown, many of you have asked for playlists—collections of episodes that address some of the important themes that come up in our careers. So here's an attempt at playlist for anyone considering a career pivot. May the following episodes inspire you and offer practical advice for how you can think about shifting course at any point.
Podcast Episodes Worth Revisiting:

??? His acting career was on fire when he left for the White House. Kal Penn's career began with the Harold and Kumar movies, and he was well into a later season on House when he left it all to join the White House.
