5 x Minutes Read It’s never just business, Susan

Hey friend,

There are a few phrases that make me want to vomit immediately.

These include:

‘Let’s chillax a bit’

Why? Pretty sure chilling and relaxing are the same, Kev.

‘I’m humbled to announce I won an award’

Why? That’s not what humble means, Steve. Plus you probably paid for it.

‘Fancy a coffee? It’s that one in the jar’

Why? Coffee from a jar is an abomination, Babs. Unless you’re my Nan and she’s 97.

‘It’s just business’

Why? Because if you say it you’re likely a twazzock Susan and you could not be more wrong.

Business is personal.

Business is community.

Business is a vehicle for freedom, fulfilment and making a difference.

But not if you’re a twazzock.

Let me explain....

I remember growing up the name of my home-town had became a cuss-word.

You would never really go there to shop.

You would never say you were from there.

You would never even mention the place if possible.

Then someone decided to invest in a big businesss in the town.

That investment turned people’s perspectives around.

That investments brought jobs and confidence back to the town.

That investment started to bring a bit of pride back into the people who lived there.

That investment beacme a global Netflix sensation, making the town a global sensation.

That town is Wrecsam (Wrexham) and it’s where I was born.

Business changed the narrative of the town.

Business has the power to do that.

This is why I love the work that I do, especially around the recurring revenue piece.

A business built on recurring revenue is healthy and heallthy businesses change lives.

To turn clients into members, you need to see your business as missionary work.

How can you serve a cause, community or concept better than anyone else?

How can you build a movement around the work that you do?

How can you completely elevate your industry?

You can put food on your table, fund your life, find fulfilment AND change society.

But you need to change your perspective for that.

Build a community.

Build a partnership.

Build a movement.

Build a legacy.

It’s never just business friends, it’s way way more.

Love you, Love me x

  • Retention is the new growth
  • Keeping members satisfied is more valuable than finding new ones.
  • Membership Models turn casual customers into loyal, long-term subscribers
  • Success…comes from a deep understanding of the customer’s ongoing needs

3 x Thoughts from the Three Ps of Business, for Good: PURPOSE, PEOPLE, PROFITS

* ???? - A client becomes a member when you sell them a vision, not a product.

* ???? -?When you consider your clients, which ones do you really love. Why?

* ??-? Staying small is selfish. More money = More ways to help. Go Grow.

1 x Great Example

I met with a pub this week to talk about recurring revenue. We had to move away from talking promotions and discounts to talk about community. From there we crated a subscription service to add 24K per year.

The product was never booze, it was belonging.

That’s what people pay for.

Q: What business are you really in?

Praying for you x
