Women and men everywhere, when confronted with the possibility of needing long term care for themselves or loved ones seek a winning strategy not a losing one. As a long-term care specialist and field underwriter during my 20 plus years, finding solutions to those issues are ones I take very seriously. I don’t have to look any further than my own parents (also my Olympic coaches) both needed extended care. My father at 64 and passed at 66 and my mother who died of Alzheimer’s at the age of 94. Being prepared for what life can bring your way is exactly what I was coached to do both in the pool and in life.
There is a Winning Strategy when it comes to planning for our future of living just as it was critical for me to have a winning formula during all the years leading up to the Olympic Trials, making the Olympic Team and finally the strategy to win an Olympic Gold Medal. All of those required different preparation’s but the common goal was always to win. I have found as a long- term care specialist working with clients all over the country when it comes to the reality of needing care and how to fund it financially winning will always take precedence over financially losing. When faced with the actual reality of that moment when a decision has to be made it is ALL ABOUT WINNING.
