Once upon a time, there was a woman who was known for having a "green thumb" when it came to gardening. However, there was one plant that seemed to be her kryptonite - the orchid. No matter how hard she tried, she just couldn't keep them alive.
One day, as she was walking through a greenhouse, she stumbled upon a beautiful orchid and decided to give it one more shot. She brought it home, read all the care instructions, and promised to do everything in her power to keep it alive.
Days turned into weeks, and weeks turned into months. The orchid seemed to be doing well, but the woman couldn't shake the feeling that disaster was looming. Finally, on National Orchid Day, the woman woke up to find that her beloved orchid had withered away and died overnight.
Feeling defeated, the woman decided to do some research to figure out why she couldn't keep an orchid alive to save her life. As she delved deeper, she discovered that orchids are notoriously difficult to care for and require a delicate balance of light, water, and temperature. It wasn't her fault after all!
In the end, the woman decided to stick to plants that were a little easier to care for. But every year on National Orchid Day, she raises a glass in honor of all the orchids that she tried (and failed) to keep alive, and she laughs at her own lack of a green thumb.
