Your headshot is a brilliant introduction to your world. A welcome, a hello, a handshake. In today's online world it's not enough to leave it there. You need to
"Carry on the conversation with brand images that tell your story".
We all love a story as it gives an insight into who we are. It builds relationships and helps your audience imagine what it would be like to spend time with you. It makes you relatable, real and authentic.
So why stop at hello?
Another way to look at it, is to imagine your profile picture is your shop window. Have you ever been enticed to go into a shop by a fabulous window display, only to be disappointed when you get inside?
They've sold out of the item you like,
It doesn't look quite as good close up;
Or you just can't find it in the maze? ??
What do you do? Most likely you will leave disappointed and maybe think twice about shopping there again.
Think about your marketing and the customer journey you are taking your audience on....
?? Is your profile picture setting you up for success?
?? Is it leading your people with integrity to what's next?
?? In other words does it look like and celebrate you?
Once you've introduced people to your world, what are they seeing next? Are you leaving them hanging or can they continue their journey with you easily to become a client?
It's important to be consistent with your brand visuals from Profile to every touch point whether it's a newsletter, blog, social media post, email or website. This consistency will not only build familiarity but trust too as people start to know what to expect and recognise your message.
It's also important to keep your audience engaged and entertained so once they have stopped to look at your content, they dwell there long enough to build the relationship and love for what you do.
