It's more fun with Community

A few months after our very successful spring #DynamicsCon I wanted to circle back to the community and share a bit more about where we are and where we're headed.

We certainly had a blast with all of you this past March. It was our largest event to date, and we hope you found an opportunity to learn, network, and enjoy our amazing community. If you missed anything, you know you can always visit our YouTube page to get caught up on all the educational content. Though, with over 8,700 registrants for our event, I'm guessing many of you caught at least a session or two! Which makes me happy to know that the work we're doing is appreciated.

Maybe even more incredible is that across the 120 sessions broadcast this spring, we had dozens of "rookie" speakers present for their first time on stage. Hopefully this trend continues and DynamicsCon and the Dynamics User Group can continue to be a platform to promote talented presenters all over the world. This is so important as we want to expand Dynamics and Power Platform usage and adoption. We have to help folks with the best ideas succeed, regardless if their employers choose to send them to a conferences.

Now into our second year with DynamicsCon we are planning to expand our community offerings. Though we'll always keep delivering amazing experiences with our virtual DynamicsCon conference, like the one coming up this fall, we have a few more items on our roadmap for the remainder of the year:

  • Migrate our Dynamics User Group Forums to a new and modern platform
  • Expand our training capabilities with Skill-up, an on-demand learning platform custom built for the Dynamics and Power Platform community
  • And just announced, DynamicsCon Live will be our first in-person conference where you can meet and network with your community this November

As you can imagine, our mission has caused us to re-evaluate our sponsorship model. We lost about $100,000 the last event, and lost another $145,000 this year. Jake and I are personally funding the investment for this adventure. And while we don't want to make any money on it, we also don't want to keep losing more. However, DUG is committed to giving as much to the community as possible without charging membership fees, or outrageous attendance fees. With help from our amazing sponsors, and generous support from Microsoft, we intend to stick to our goal of building a world class Dynamics and Power community. We appreciate your patience while we work to provide more as our budget allows.

Absolutely love the community-driven spirit of your Spring #DynamicsCon event! As Helen Keller once said - Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much. Excited to see how we can all contribute and grow together! ?????? #CommunityPower #TogetherWeAchieve
