IT'S MORE BLESSED TO GIVE.

These beleaguered families have been on the road for over a month escaping violence in Syria.

I was watching the news a few days ago when over 1,000 refugees got off the train in Croatia (including the family shown in this photo) and were escorted across a river on a railroad bridge and through the border fence into Hungary.

Watching the refugee families trudging along, in a seemingly endless parade of anguish, only to be loaded onto yet another train.

They were loaded onto another train in Hungary taking them to Austria where they will change trains yet again and eventually head on to Germany in hopes of resettling there.

It is a long and perilous journey to safety, but for families under the constant threat of violence amid civil war and persecution at the hands of ISIS, it is a risk they are willing to take.
