It's the Marathon

Today I completed a 10K Marathon at AFMC! As my happy emotions are celebrating the win, I would like to share something which is close to my heart.
Those who know me, I am a retired professional athlete. During the lockdown, I switched my path from sports to studies. Most of my childhood and half of my teenage life was spent on the tennis courts and playing tournaments. After 2021, I found myself into books. Boom-shaka-shaka; a complete change. As studies, college and friends was completely out of my imagination, I enjoyed it there too. But this, beat it playing tennis to running marathons to aiming targets while swimming laps is a different high altogether. And as I ran after nearly two years, this day became very special.
Having a de-ja-vu to all my memories, I look back this morning when I was out of my bed at 4:15 a.m. Right from deciding of what I'll be wearing to packing my bag; everything felt the exact same way, as it did on my tournament days. (Hehee, I pack at night). Excited as I could be, I had one target which I had to achieve today. "Don't stop while you run. No pause, no walk; simply run." And today, as I ran; I did not stop. I did not. And this is my win.
With that, I hope those who read me via this article, knows that there is no stopping. I have to run, you have to run and We have to run, no matter what.
