It's the little things.

I love chocolates.
I love flowers.
I love surprises.
But let’s talk about the magic in small, loving moments.?
The woman who does my nails, Amy, beautifully reminded me of this. (By the way, getting my nails done is my go-to for feeling put together.)?
Amy is a hardworking woman, mother, and wife. One day, she decided to pay more attention to her husband. She told him he looked cute in a shirt he was wearing. His reaction was priceless: a huge smile, he dropped his phone, and they shared a moment of loving contact. That simple act kick-started a new phase of mutual appreciation in their relationship.?
So this Valentine's Day, why not try the same? Notice and call out the little things about your loved ones. Comment on the unique quirks that make them, well, them. Remember the Good Will Hunting scene where Robin Williams talks about the endearing idiosyncrasies of his late wife??
It’s noticing those little details that makes all the difference.?
Sure, do the chocolates, the flowers, and the cards – but add a few heartfelt observations that can show just how special someone is to you.?
And remember – love comes in all forms, shapes and sizes. It isn’t limited to romantic love. Call a friend, hug your family, cuddle your pets. Spread a little love.?
Happy Valentine’s Day. May yours be filled with a sweet thing or two!?
Be well,
