The number of forwards of this article that I received since morning today have not stopped coming in. Its indeed noteworthy when Bob Sternfels , the CEO of a globally reputed organisation like 麦肯锡 makes such a statement. However I do not consider this as a given and we can't get complacent in any case. I think the statement should be read as "It could be India's decade but it could be India's Century"
The primary advantage that Bob has suggested is that India will have 20% of the global workforce by 2047. It is indeed a huge advantage however for now the only thing that we can be certain about is that we will have 20% of the worlds working population. We have to take drastic steps to ensure that this huge mass of people will have the skills and talent required. Close to 1 Billion children will pass through the Indian?School Education system by 2047 and much improvement is required in the classroom transactions and teachers need a concerted lifelong learning and continuous capacity building so that they can impact the life and learning outcomes of children so that they and India can claim its rightful place in the world order.

India needs to ensure that these students are imparted the right inputs, and have not only the right skills, but also have the right moral values, attitude and grit to become nation builders. In a Cricket Crazy Nation like India is maybe it is fit to say that if we have to make it our century we will have to ensure that every single of our players (children) resolves to score their own Centuries
But thank you Bob Sternfels for firing up the WhatsApp Groups of our country and hopefully adding to everyones belief and may your statement come true.
