It's not the hours that you put in.

It's not the hours that you put in.

When you are looking to get started in the property business then your initial Primary focus should be cash flow, after that can come the buy and keep or property development.

You really need to be setting aside 10 hours per week remembering that it isn’t the hours that you put in but what you put into the hours.

You should focus on the activities that will help you to move toward your goals.

The key part that a lot of people don’t do is to review each week

-       Did you log 10 hours

-       Were they focused on a goal that moved you forward

-       Did you make efficient use of your time – aggregating viewings for example

Compare what you said you would do to what you actually did, adjust your targets or schedule for the following week to ensure you move forward.

Focus on the right activities – what are they for you?

Putting in just 1 hour per day gives you 9 x 40 hour work weeks focused on that business. Think about that, if someone gave you 2 months to get on with something would you make progress on it?

Putting in focused effort each day, will compound the effect of what you are doing and build some momentum. The more you continue to do it, the more the results multiply.

Forget Monday to Friday, if you really want something then Saturday and Sunday are also normal working days in the early days – you have to be prepared to do what you have to do to get established.

Once you have built your business then you can decide to work the hours that suit you…
