Its happened again
Around 6 months ago, I published a post about WorldPay completing a £5 billion stock market float. Then one fateful Monday, around lunchtime customers of worldpay began having issues processing payments. According to reports by Wednesday, many couldn't get in touch with Worldpay's call center due to overwhelming traffic. Many resorted to social media to vent frustrations.
So after the previous "SMALL TECHNICAL FAULT"(any glitch that stops a business taking payments, in my mind that's not a "small technical glitch"), WorldPay have yet again had a small glitch, that according to many social media sources, isn't that small.
Stan James have been unable to issue winnings to customers, National lottery are struggling to refund clients ..... all down to server issues.
Now i understand Worldpay are a huge machine that requires constant attention, but after spending £400m on a new platform to handle international payments methods, you would like to think that they can spend a little on making sure that clients can continue to make/take payments.
How long are businesses going to stay loyal to a sub standard service ?
I would welcome a debate about why or how this is affecting your business

8 年I wonder how many merhants were actually affected by this gateway issue? Worldpay said it was less than 1%. From the media it appears to be only Etsy, StanJames and The National Lottery?
