Its good to talk......... One year on from my previous employer.

2 years ago, I thought I was in my job for life. I was part of a great telecoms company, TWL voice and data. I had a number of roles during my time there and I loved my job. I loved the people I worked with and I was part of this close knit team for 15 years. As a team, we had built up over 400 customers and I was very proud of our achievements. 

As many businesses do, my Director decided to sell. He had many offers, some local for more money and some further afield but promising to look after the customer base that we all built up over the many years as well as look after the loyal and committed staff. He wanted to ensure that the staff and customers were in safe hands so decided on a company further afield. 

I was quite excited to start something new. I was feeling energised and I felt like it was the right decision but unfortunately the promises failed to deliver. Our customers got lost and as an account manager I was constantly fire fighting. I stuck it out for 11 months and I tried to help my customers as much as I could, I felt that my hands were tied. I found a job post on LinkedIn for an IT firm looking to launch their own telecoms division. I knew I was that person. I became the Client Services Manager at Team Metalogic and helped launch what is a very successful and service-centric telecoms arm to an already thriving managed IT services business. That was a year ago today.

I built up alot of customer relationships at TWL but due to my contractual restrictions, I was not allowed to continue these relationships. This has now come to an end. Team Metalogic has very similar values and goals as TWL and delivering consistently excellent service at its core.

Since my departure there has been a continuous trail of acquisitions, which unfortunately, failed to improve the customer service and account management. This has caused some customers to look else where for their support. Now I am free from my restrictions, myself and Team Metalogic are in a fantastic position to offer support and services to those looking to get the personal touch back.

I would like to thank Mike Parfitt for all his support over the past year and getting the telecoms division to a fantastic and strong position. Now I can build on previous relationships as well as develop new ones and offer our services and support to anyone who is looking for an alternative telecoms provider, who will go the extra mile and look after you.
