It's good to bet !

Business models, technologies, client behaviors, the environment in general is changing so rapidly around us that keeping up is almost an impossible task. We can’t do it alone; we need a great team. All of us are way better than any one of us.

Building and sustaining a team in a high growth area is not easy. We come across several potential options, who “have been there, done that”. Most times its looks like a safe option to add a person to the team, with experience and expertise. Unfortunately, in the rapidly evolving business environment that in some cases is a weakness. An expert in the past version of the world would do more damage than good.

A rookie, with the right attitude is a good bet in today’s world. Of course Vegas was not built on winners, most people lose on betting. But it’s worth the risk, after all many of us would not have been where we are, if someone had not bet on us.

It’s good to bet!

Sameer, Agree with the point of need to bet..if one has to establish, grow and take up the next level of challenges there has to be a bet to achieve it. Else, the growth would more or less stay stagnant. Some times, hiring an experienced resource for a specific skills of importance can get you assured results, blend it with the team of rookies in the needed functions and we get the best of experience and creativity. Yes there is a challenge of achieving balance between experienced and creative persons, guess that's one of the key art of an entrepreneurs success.
