There's another bank holiday in the bag and we have plenty of news to share this week.

From aircon to parking, an award for Make Good Grow, Jem Morey 's transition from employee to member, the return of our Fish 'n Chip bar, and a rundown of our upcoming member events.?

PROPOSED CHANGES TO PARKING RESTRICTIONS ??

With the majority of us travelling to 1 Mill Street by car each day, we highly depend on free, non-restrictive parking in and around the area.?

We've been working hard to protect the availability of free roadside parking since WCC's initial consultation during the Summer of 2022.?We all did a great job lobbying our objections and were told that due to those high levels, the proposal would not go ahead for at least a few years.

At the beginning of last week, Warwickshire?County Council proposed?to change the current unrestricted parking around the L6 area to 4-hour max stay bays, 2-hour max stay bays and double yellow lines. These proposed changes could cause detrimental consequences to our members, staff, visitors and businesses that run from 1MS.?

Introducing restrictive parking measures would also discourage individuals from considering Leamington Spa as their place of work, ultimately stifling the influx of talent and hindering the growth of local businesses.

We must stand together by?expressing our objections to this proposal. It's crucial that we, as a community, make our voices heard on this matter, and we only have until?Friday 16 June?to do so.

AIRCON IS COMING ??

With summer fast approaching, we've resorted to cracking open the windows,

shedding a few layers and praying for a breeze, but fear not, the aircon is on its way.

Aircon is being fitted in the coworking space over the course of the 10th and 11th of June, so we'll be as cool as cucumbers for the rest of the summer.?

For those weekend workers, the meeting rooms will be open to avoid any disturbance.?Give me a shout if you have any questions.

We had an amazing time, and even received an award thanks to your brilliant collaborative efforts during our 'Easter Eggs for Ukraine Appeal'.
