It's getting crazy out there...A note from our CEO
Hey nonprofits, unions, education associations and all other orgs fighting for Americans right now,
Since the Trump inauguration there has been an extreme level of uncertainty and anxiety about the future. There are a lot of unknowns right now and a lot of people looking for ways to help but not knowing how.?
In the midst of this crisis, it’s important to remember that this is what your organizations are here for– to advocate on behalf of your supporters and communities, to give them an organized way to spark change. We need you now more than ever, but I recognize that it’s a heavy lift and I want you to know that our team is here to help however we can.?
As a company, we work with progressive nonprofits because we believe in their missions. We want to support you, and the best way for us to do that is to help you harness your supporters' stories to add impact to your messaging and drive your fundraising efforts.
How we can help:
It is more critical than ever before to uplift real people’s voices. We need to be putting real faces behind these budget cuts to show the country what they actually mean on a human level.?
Senate phone lines are jammed and people are tired of signing petitions. Asking constituents to call their Senator isn’t having the same impact as it normally does. On Feb. 7th, “...the Senate phone system was receiving 1,600 calls per minute, a sharp increase from the usual 40 calls a minute…” according to the New York Times. This proves that people are motivated to speak up, but we need more creative ways to get our message across.
We can help you set up a Soapboxx prompt that will automatically tag elected officials every time a creator shares their video or photo. It’s public, and can build much more momentum than a phone call, letter or petition.?
We can help you harness people’s stories to elevate your fundraising efforts and prove your organization’s impact.?I’ve seen a lot of donor fatigue lately, comments like “with everything going on, I really don’t think my $20 is going to solve anything.” We need to target this mentality and use storytelling to prove their donation is making an impact, and that the need is urgent.?
This country needs the work you are doing, more than most even realize. Thank you for your effort, your talent and for caring about the well being of your communities. Soapboxx is here to help you, please let us know what you need.?
Here for you, so you can continue to be here for all of us,
Megan Castle, CEO at Soapboxx
