“It’s different for you... people don't want to work with a fat coach!”.

Have you ever thought of this?... A guy said it to me few days ago.

Sure, it’s a logical statement, but think of all the other people who are not a fitness coach

Whether I workout 1 or 7 days a week… it doesn’t change my clients results. But its different if you see exercise and nutrition as a ‘sacrifice’...

If you ever had thoughts or comments like this, it does not mean you can’t get great results. You likely would love to transform your body image, but there’s a blockage in the pipe.

The blockage is often, because more than twice, you’ve tried to drop weight, but got busy, stopped and regained it. Your brain remembered the pain and disappointment. It’s like a self-defence.

Like someone who’s lost a lot of money in crypto or stocks, say things like “it’s rigged!... it’s a bubble!… it’s a gamble… I got scammed”... but think of all the successful investors?

Not your fault, its all unconscious. It’s just the way our brains work. Doing its best to protect you from imaginary future pain based on previous events. Part of our survival mechanism.

The key is to be aware of it and call it out. Calling yourself out is where the real power comes to make a long term change.

If doing say 2-3 workouts a week, and keeping track of your food intake feels like a huge sacrifice, you might want to reconsider what you value most. And figure out why being in shape, supports your highest value.

If you can’t call yourself out… it’s likely that you have what’s known as, a ‘Blind spot’. A good coach will call out your blind spots, so you can face it and move forward on your goal.

This is why I work one-on-one with my clients. Because a PDF, app, meal-plan and YouTube video course can’t fix a blocked pipe that that you can’t see.

What ‘works’ in month 1 of a weight-loss journey… isn’t guaranteed to work every other month. And if you get stuck without someone to guide and hold you accountable, the self-defence mechanism kicks in again.
