It's in the detail

When I was designing clothing, one of my favourite ways to neatening a join, and add interest, was to use piping. Since moving into interior design I have delighted in finding new and different ways in which fashion finishes and manipulation translates beautifully to our interiors...

Piping accentuates shapes, adds definition, and provides a polished finish, a contrasting colour can be used, or the same fabric it has been upholstered in, depending on the aesthetic. In my opinion, it can enhance the overall aesthetic of each piece. What do you think?

One of the real benefits of hiring a professional interior designer is that our eyes are trained to find those pieces that not only match your style but that also have subtle, difficult-to-put-into-words details that make your home truly unique.
