Leadership means getting noticed by the group, so it comes with inherent risks, which is why normal human beings are nervous about public speaking. It's not about being fearless. It's about having the courage to speak up because what you have to say matters! My Dad, a combat Marine veteran, told me,
"... being fearless just gets you killed! It's about courage, son."
