It’s not about the CONNECTION, it’s about the COMMUNITY - 1 step-formula of successful LinkedIn content!
LinkedIn is a great space to learn from content shared by connections and following.
Often, these contents are insightful, especially when shared by those who work/have worked in the same domain.
So far, these contents have assisted many startups in learning, branding, collaborating, growing, and flourishing.
People around you today will be spending time curating meaningful content for their LinkedIn posts, articles, audios, lives, and newsletters; having a LinkedIn profile that active posts is a great way to proliferate personal branding.
And many personal brands are reaping their fruits too. But there is one thing that any LinkedIn creator must know, at least now when LinkedIn creators' traction is highly competitive, and that is
It’s not about the CONNECTION, it’s about the COMMUNITY ??
You may have noticed that on LinkedIn , a post does not typically receive thousands of likes/reactions/comments.
However, it’s easy for well-established entrepreneurs, businesspeople, and influencers like Ankur Warikoo , Vaibhav Sisinty to receive likes and impressions, but for people like you & me, it is more like a CHESS game - every time, you’ve to be proactively right.
Reactions, impressions, and interactions on LinkedIn are more difficult than on other social media platforms. The posts that received 1000+ likes on Instagram would hardly receive 10 likes on LinkedIn - creating content for LinkedIn is difficult.
LinkedIn content creation is difficult, but only for two categories of people:-
Yes, you read it right, Copywriter.
The first is expected, BUT you may not be aware that being a good copywriter does not guarantee success on LinkedIn; you may get it once or twice in a blue moon, but you will never receive it consistently for all the posts curated.
The reason is simple: you haven’t yet grown your COMMUNITY.
And even I’m one of those whose COMMUNITY on LinkedIn is NOT so active.
COMMUNITY here does not refer to groups and discussion forums but to a group of people with whom you work/worked, study/studied, and network.
These may include current and former teammates, colleagues, batchmates, alumni, and professional networks who are active on LinkedIn .
After all, it’s all about the HUMAN TOUCH.?
The more HUMAN TOUCH your content receives, the more likely it grows organically.
You may have seen IIT, IIM, and ISB alumni interacting with their alum's content, or you may have observed peers from 亚马逊 , 谷歌 , Nykaa , udaan.com , and Ditto Insurance doing the same.
Actually, this is not a HACK, TACTIC, or a ROCKET SCIENCE - it is simple social proofing. The peers from these reputable organizations understand that one thing that can assist them in establishing their content is their COMMUNITY.
Because, as you all know, this simple social proofing increases the reach of your content to CONNECTIONS or FOLLOWERS with whom they are connected.
As a result, it's not the 30,000 CONNECTIONS you have on LinkedIn that matter; it's the 30 people in your COMMUNITY who interact with your content that will grow your FOLLOWERS.?
After all, COMMUNITY > NO. CONNECTIONS
Hence, it’s not about the no. of CONNECTIONS, it’s about the COMMUNITY - the only 1 step-formula successful LinkedIn content! ??
