It’s Complicated – the first chapter

It’s Complicated is a platform making the search for a therapist easier. Launched in its beta form just three months ago, the directory already covers a long list of counsellors speaking 20 different languages and practicing a range of 42 specialties.

Research shows that the “therapeutic alliance” between a counsellor and client is one of the most important factors for successful therapy. It's Complicated therefore offers a sophisticated search and filter system to find the therapist that fits a person’s specific situation. In addition to this, the platform offers personal “matching” from an expert to oversee that the right fit takes place.

A good therapy match won’t only benefit those seeking help, but also the practitioners doing the therapy. A therapy process is more stable and fulfilling for both parties if the fundament of a good rapport is in place. And besides helping practitioners get clients that will actually benefit from what they offer, It’s Complicated also assists freelancing counsellors in running their practice with ease – so they just need to focus on their therapy work.

For practitioners of all schools of therapy, It’s Complicated offers not only client referrals and an easy-to-build, customized profile, but also a smart booking system with mobile reminders, encrypted messaging and a statistics board to keep track of one’s performance.
