It's Business As Usual At FisherBroyles
We are a cloud-based firm. That means we all work from whatever location we want. Some of us work from the dining room table. Some of us rent office space. Some of us created an office in our basement (hello! that's me!).
Our forward-thinking co-founders could care less where any of us work. The lack of overhead means more money in partners' pockets; and right now, it means something much more—it means that there is NO DISRUPTION to the legal services that we are providing to our clients during this time of national crisis created by COVID-19.
As other firms scramble to transfer data and ensure their employees can handle the change to telecommuting, we are already there. Our partners do not have to "set up," and we don't have to "adjust" to teleworking. We've always done it. We believe we, and our employees, can better serve our clients if we work in a way that serves us and our families.
As co-founder Kevin Broyles noted last week:
FisherBroyles' support staff has been specifically hired and trained to service remote work. We have the best support staff in the world, carefully hand-picked, with years of experience servicing clients and partners from anywhere, anytime. These professionals have perfected working from home while properly balancing their work and life. Just today all Atlanta Fulton County schools are closed because of a single Coronavirus case an hour and 15 minutes from me. But there is no issue with my daughter staying at home in her teenage cave upstairs, while I work from home. Just like I do every day. Just like our other partners and support staff do....every day.
You can read his full post here along with more details about FisherBroyles lean and agile model.
Likewise, I have three teens home remote learning. They are used to me plugging away in my basement office because that's where I am every day when they arrive home from school. For my kids, it's business as usual—except the oldest who I basically air-lifted out of Spain from her study abroad program!
At FisherBroyles, we don't have to figure anything out to serve you during this time of COVID-19 crisis. There is no lag time. We hit the ground running on day 1 of the virus, and we're working harder, more efficiently, and effectively than ever.
