At this time of year, many businesses often retreat into the festivities and business goals, ideas, and innovation take a back seat until the new year. We want you to know that this doesn’t have to be the case!
Every year we are baffled by the assumption that people have that recruitment slows down over the festive period. This relic of a stereotype is damaging too many businesses who would benefit from using this time to get ahead of their competitors when searching for and hire those superstar candidates that are still searching for jobs in December.
The business world is always changing, and something that we have noticed whilst growing and building Fresh Perspective is that businesses cannot afford to take a three-month sabbatical from working towards their goals. At Fresh, we use the whole year to ensure that our clients can continue to grow and develop even through the festive period.
One of the most effective ways to achieve a business, or a personal goal is to be consistent. Consistency, by its definition, means repetitive behaviour that allows you to achieve the desired result. If you only went to the gym consistently for 10 months for example, then had two months off, how likely are you to reach your desired goals? The same idea occurs in recruitment and business.
Do you think your superstar candidate will stop looking for jobs over the festive period? The answer is no, many individuals looking for jobs aren’t affected by what time of the year it is. You as a business owner can capitalise on this and by planning recruitment into your business plans throughout the year you will always be one step ahead, even over Christmas.
