It's been a while...
What a very busy time it is for everyone in our industry. We’re inspired to work with and be supported by so many hard-working individuals and companies who are breaking the boundaries of cyber innovation and business.
For the day that it is, #WorldMentalHealthDay, we’re reminded of a great quote which is very apt for our community -
‘There is no firewall between the mental and the physical’
Today (and everyday) is a great opportunity to check in on your colleagues, friends and family, ask them how they’re feeling and crucially, know how to follow up when they answer. Organisations such as Aware NI - Home ( aware-ni.org ) are a great source of support about having those difficult conversations.
September was an incredibly busy month for the Cluster and we we’re delighted to have connected with so many established members and new contacts across our ecosystem.
We were delighted to have been invited, along with a number of cluster companies, to attend the RAF Business Engagement evening in association with ADS Group Ltd which formed a key part of the Portrush Air Show. Thank you RAF Business Engagement for the invitation to attend.
This was our first year taking a stand at BSides Belfast and we were blown away by the amount of people who came to say hi and to share ideas about how the cluster can support the industry. ?
Thank you so much to everyone who made us feel very welcome.
What a privilege to support the The Children's Cancer Unit Charity at the Aflac Northern Ireland Tech Crowd quiz. We didn’t win the top prize, but we definitely won the best name category, even if there wasn’t one. What a great effort to raise over £9,000 for a great cause.
Thank you to The Fintech Corridor for inviting us to get involved with Belfast Tech Week for the 'Locks and Stocks - Managing your Threat Landscape for Fintechs' hosted by MCS Group | Your Specialist Recruitment Consultancy .
Kicking off #Cyber Awareness Month, we were pleased lead a panel on Partnerships and Cluster Development as part of the CSIT 15 year celebration Summit. Thank you to Sam Donaldson Joel Rasmus and Hollie Wakefield for joining Simon Whittaker for an excellent discussion on the unique dynamics of clustering and the triple helix of industry, academia and government working partnerships.
